Meeting with the Minister of Education of Rhineland-Palatinate
On January 23, 2023, the project leaders Prof. Dr. Harald Lesch and Dr. Cecilia Scorza-Lesch were received by the Minister of Education Stefanie Hubig at the Rhineland-Palatinate comprehensive school IGS Mainz-Brentzenheim.
The Minister of Education, Mrs. Hubig, was very interested in the educational program and honored the project management with many questions, as well as great interest in the experiments.
The impressive thing is that all secondary schools in Rhineland-Palatinate had the opportunity to apply for training on the LMU climate suitcase. If two teachers successfully participated, the schools received five LMU climate suitcases and a thermal imaging camera. Margrit Scholl, the coordinator of the MINT department at the Rhineland-Palatinate Pedagogical Institute, was in charge of coordination and training. A total of 270 schools were equipped.
