Interested teachers and STEM education stakeholders can now also familiarize themselves with our educational program online free of charge and receive a certificate upon successful completion. The interactive online course was created by Dr. Sabine Graf from our LMU team in cooperation with the MINT Campus (mintcampus.org) and is hosted via this new platform.

This year's MINT-EC School Leadership Conference took place in Cottbus from November 3 to 4, 2023. 
The educational program "Climate change - understand and act" was also represented with the climate kit.

From October 25 to 27, a network meeting for teachers took place at the Institute for Teacher Training (ILF).

Thomas Lanners from myclimate Deutschland gGmbH, together with project manager Dr. Sabine Graf and with the support of the Prediger Foundation, organized the kick-off for Baden-Württemberg on 20.07.2023 in Freiburg.

Last teacher training for high school teachers in Bavaria to receive the LMU climate kits, donated by the Bayerische Sparkassenstiftung.

From May 3 to 5, 2023, our nationwide teacher training on climate change in schools took place in the picturesque city of Weimar. Initiated and organized by our educational program "Der Klimawandel: verstehen und handeln", around 70 participants from all German states gathered in the historic premises of the old central bank. The event was implemented in cooperation with the Wilhelm and Else Heraeus Foundation and Wirkung Hoch 100.

On 05 and 06 May 2023, the LMU climate kit was exhibited at the booth of the Bavarian Ministry of Education.

On April 22, 2023, the day event "Great things can only happen together! Shaping schools sustainably" took place around ESD and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Thanks to the Wilhelm and Else Heraeus Foundation, we will be able to hold this nationwide teacher training from May 3 to May 5.

On March 02, 2023, climate ambassadors Johanna Mauerer and Philipp Schmidbauer visited the Edith-Stein-Gymnasium in Munich.

On 01.02.2023, the project leader Dr. Cecilia Scorza-Lesch and the project manager Dr. Sabine Graf were invited by Mr. Philipp Pacius of the office for environmental education Bavaria to discuss the procedure for the Bavarian secondary schools in the coming school year.

On January 23, 2023, the project leaders Prof. Dr. Harald Lesch and Dr. Cecilia Scorza-Lesch were received by the Minister of Education Stefanie Hubig at the Rhineland-Palatinate comprehensive school IGS Mainz-Brentzenheim.

This week, the advanced training courses for secondary school teachers began throughout Bavaria. Within a very short time, all state secondary schools in Bavaria will now be equipped with two LMU climate suitcases and a thermal imaging camera after participating the training.

On November 24, 2022, the first networking meeting for the Climate School Bavaria program took place in Nürnberg.

From 11.10.2022 to 12.10.2022, a teacher training for the multipliers of the LMU climate suitcase in Rheinland-Pfalz took place at the Pädagogisches Landesinstitut Rheinland-Pfalz in Speyer.

In the "Berufsbildungszentrum" Freising on 6. October 2022 the subject supervisors' meeting in religion took place. The participants learned about a new history of creation.

From 21. September to 23. September 2022, a teacher training for the multipliers of the LMU climate kit in Bavaria took place at the "Akademie für Lehrerfortbildung und Personalführung" in Dillingen

On 19. September 2022, Dr. Cecilia Scorza and Prof. Dr. Harald Lesch were interviewed as part of the Highlight Show and performed experiments from the climate kit.

On 06. September 2022, Prof. Dr. Harald Lesch was awarded the Ehrennadel DPG for communicating scientific knowledge to a large audience.

On July 1, ethics teachers enthusiastically experimented at the Institute for Teacher Training in Gars am Inn.

Dr. Cecilia Scorza successfully opened a climate change: understanding it and taking action workshop at the Pädagogisches Landesinstitut Rheinland-Pfalz in Speyer on 17 May. All teachers (also teachers outside the STEM field) were given an understanding of the scientific context of the anthropogenic climate crisis and its complex causes.

Bayerische Sparkassenstiftung finances the LMU climate kit for all grammar schools in Bavaria.
